Why You Are Still A Job Seeker!!!

You may have sometimes wondered why you've still not landed on your desired kind of job regardless of the degree(s) you already have. And at some other times, you may have asked yourself why some of those guys that graduated with you who weren't even as bright as you (in fact, those guys who were far behind in class, the kind that your lecturers always looked at with scorn and as people who had no future ambition <NFA>, people who would never amount to anything meaningful in life) eventually get good jobs and keep having the opportunity to get better jobs time after time whereas, you who was the attention of everyone (students and lecturers alike), perhaps, the best in your class, department and even faculty, came out with the highest grade point ever in your department hasn't yet had a job that pays 6 figures. You keep hearing that a supposed loafer in your class earns a 6-figure salary.

What could be wrong? you may have asked without ever coming up with a satisfactory answer.

Well, if this describes your situation or a situation similar to yours, CONGRATULATIONS, you are about finding out some of those thing that those guys you admire and sometimes wish you were as lucky as know and do that you are yet to know and do.

1. Everybody who went through a university/an  equivalent institution has a degree or an equivalent just as you do regardless of degree class.

2. Those who quickly get jobs understand and go for professional trainings they may never tell about. This gives them an edge over you as they are consider authorities in that field as people who have had hands-on experience. The reason for this is that our school system only teach theories that are not the situation in the practical field of work...every employer knows this and so, goes for people who will add value with their professional knowledge.

3. People who want to quickly get jobs don't go scouting for any kind of job, they take advantage of career counseling opportunities at little cost. By doing this, they are able to understand the demands of different career paths, what kind of professional courses they would need to run, the kind of software they may need to learn, how to tailor their CV and Cover Letters, etc so as to quickly get their desired jobs. This helps them get focused and concentrated energy. I bet you, what every employer wants is a focused employee with the relevant knowledge and experience required to meet the jobs demands with little or no supervision at all.

4. They take advantage of FREE and/or PAID mentorship programs so as to quickly acclimatize with work environment ever before getting the jobs by simply listen to an authority in the field. They also know that a close substitute to a Mentor is video tutorials they can watch over and again as it is relevant to their career paths.

5. These guys also know that it is not enough to have a degree and professional certifications but also soft skill. Every employer watches, at an interview, a demonstration of certain soft skills to determine who qualifies for the job. Some of the major soft skills watched out for by employers are; Communication Strategies, Creative Problem Solving, Time Management Skills, Supervising Others (Leadership Skills), Interpersonal Skills, Sales Fundamentals, Administrative Support Skills, Team Work and Team Building, just to mention but a few. It is not enough to have them in your CV but you must know, understand and demonstrate them every time.

There are a lot of other factors and skills. If you wish to learn more about these issues, professional courses, skills (hard and soft), find a job quickly, be counseled or book a career counseling session, please, contact:

Get That Dream Job By Improving Your Soft Skils

Every employer seek to employ candidates with good, relevant hands-on skills and experience such as oil field service skills, welding skills, accounting software skills, engineering software skills, etc and so, virtually every job applicant tend to give all their attention to developing their technical skills without giving attention to the set of the very important skills that every employer wants to hire. These very important skills are generally referred to as Soft Skills.

Soft Skills are a mix of intangible skills that you require to accomplish tasks daily. While some people are very good with these skills, some are very poor with them-most are even ignorant of these skills. Little wonder why they are unable to get their idea jobs.

A Highlight of  Some Very Important Soft Skill

Without doubt, you are most likely to remain an applicant or at best, get a job that pays you less than your worth if you don't consciously cultivate these skills. Some of these skills are:

Time Management
Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. (wikipedia).

It is an activity that requires mental input to maximizing the result generated by other activities. When hear something like 'this project is time bound, all it tells you is that you require time management skill to be able to deliver the given task in conformance with the aim within the given limited time and without altering the scope'.

Time management could be realized by employing some set of skills, softwares/applications/tools, to manage time in accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals within the given date. This skill is what you require to meet what is called 'deadlines'. To learn this skill, contact Eben UK Resources on ebenezerisokrari@gmail.com

Supervising Others (Leadership Skills)

Good leaders are hard to find. Leaders need to be aware of more than just their role within a team, but how each member in the group contributes to a common goal and how to steer the group toward that goal. Any one can learn basic leadership skills, and some people may even grow to become great leaders, while others simply exhibit these leadership qualities. All it takes is exposure to leadership principles, the desire to lead, opportunity, and practice. To improve your leadership skills, begin with reading a few books or online articles about leadership. You can also consider taking a course at a local community college or as part of an MBA program. Once you have some leadership principles ingrained, you need to practice, practice, practice. Observe leaders in your workplace, volunteer to lead small groups and team efforts, and take on additional duties if necessary. Finally, do not confuse leadership with authority. You do not have to hold a leadership position within your organization to be a leader. - See more at: http://www.careercentertoolbox.com/interviews/improving-soft-skills-to-land-the-job/page-5#sthash.do3Q627P.dpuf

Interpersonal Skills

Interpersonal skills are the life skills we use every day to communicate and interact with other people, both individually and in groups.  People who have worked on developing strong interpersonal skills are usually more successful in both their professional and personal lives.

Employers often seek to hire staff with 'strong interpersonal skills' - they want people who will work well in a team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and clients. For Enquiries on how to learn these skills, contact EBEN UK RESOURCES LTD via email: ebenezerisoskrari@gmail.com

Sales Fundamentals

Sales skills help in improving the overall turnover of any organization. If you have not already cultivated, consult EBEN UK RESOURCES via ebenezerisokrari@gmail.com otherwise, you'd be left behind by the rapid changes taking place in the labour market. Guess what? There are more jobs for people with this skill than the number of people that have the skill. Why don't you get yourself a well paying job by acquiring this skill as most employers are willing to pay anything to have professionals in this field.

Creative Problem Solving

To qualify as creative problem-solving, the solution must solve the stated problem in a novel way, and the solution must be reached independently. Consult EBEN UK RESOURCES via ebenezerisokrari@gmail.com for a first hand consultancy on how you could this skill.

Communication Strategies

Communication strategies are plans for communicating information related to a specific issue, event, situation, or audience. They serve as the blueprintsfor communicating with the public, stakeholders, or even colleagues

Administrative Support Skills

Administrative jobs need people with leadership skills. Administrators might run an office, manage a staff or coordinate services for the entire company or organization. In small companies, administrators might handle all the supportive services for an organization, but in larger companies, they might be assigned to a specific area. Administrators require skills that keep an organization running efficiently.

Team Work and Team Building

Just as good leaders are essential to accomplish tasks in the corporate environment, so are solid team members. Regardless of your position within the organization, you need to be aware of how your work affects others. To improve your value as a team member, consider how your actions affect other people who are working on a related task. Do your actions help them or hinder them? Another great way to become a better team member in the workplace is to participate in group sporting events and other social activities.

The soft skills listed above are some of the most frequently asked about during interviews. However, there are many more soft skills out there and it benefits you to recognize what they are and how to improve them. You can further break down soft skills into Personal Qualities and Interpersonal Skills: Personal Qualities are those which are inherent to the way you act on a day to day basis.

These include personal responsibility, self-esteem, self-management, integrity, honesty, self-motivation, self-discipline, decision making, and more. Interpersonal Skills deal with your interactions with others. Some of these include: teaching and instructing, serving client and customer needs, negotiation, persuasion, cultural awareness, conflict resolution, etiquette, and more. Think about how you perform in the workplace. Your value to your employer is often driven not only by the degrees and certifications you hold, but how well you work and interact with others. Sharpen your soft skills. Improve your professional prospects.

Assertiveness and Self Confidence

Assertiveness is a skill regularly referred to in social and communication skills training.  Often wrongly confused with aggression, assertive individuals aim to be neither passive nor aggressive in their interactions with other people.
Although everyone acts in passive and aggressive ways from time to time, such ways of responding often result from a lack of self-confidence and, therefore, are inappropriate expressions of what such people really need to say.

The Importance Of Customer Relationship Management Skills

Customer relationship management (CRM) is a system for managing a company’s INTERACTIONS with current and future customers. It involves using technology to organize, automate and synchronize sales, marketing, customer service, and technical support.

The key word here is INTERACTION and this determines to a very considerable extent to what level an organization will be able to convert its prospects and at the same time retain it currently existing lead of customers.

When we talk of customers, most people quickly think of those people outside of the organization who patronize that particular organization either by buying goods from it or employing its services. However, the term customers refers to group of people within and outside of the organization. Customers can be classified into two major categories-External and Internal.

INTERNAL CUSTOMER: An internal customer is a person within an organization who does one or more sorts of activity instrumental to the success of another person within the organization, a department or for the completion of a process of one or more department of same organization. For example, in an IT company, a customer care rep who receives a call from a subscriber inquiring about his billing information of course may have to call the accounting department (depending on the organization's structure and information sharing and access levels) to request the information required to satisfy that subscriber. If the customer care rep calls up the accounting department, the customer care rep is automatically a customer or to the accounting department and because its an intra-organizational transaction i.e., the customer care rep and the accounting department are both in the same organization, we call her an INTERNAL CUSTOMER.

EXTERNAL CUSTOMER: An external customer is one who is not a part of an organization but exchanges his/her money, goods, services for an organization's value (goods and/services). This is the kind we are used to.

In this generation, customer relationship skills is in a rising demand in every sector because it has been found to be the most effective tool for retaining a company's market relevance-preserving its brand, customer retention, prospect-customer conversion, healthy relationship in the work place leading to greater productivity, etc.

These skills are often personal attitude. Below are a highlight of some of the most important of these skills;

• Supervising Others

• Interpersonal Skills
