Why You Are Still A Job Seeker!!!

You may have sometimes wondered why you've still not landed on your desired kind of job regardless of the degree(s) you already have. And at some other times, you may have asked yourself why some of those guys that graduated with you who weren't even as bright as you (in fact, those guys who were far behind in class, the kind that your lecturers always looked at with scorn and as people who had no future ambition <NFA>, people who would never amount to anything meaningful in life) eventually get good jobs and keep having the opportunity to get better jobs time after time whereas, you who was the attention of everyone (students and lecturers alike), perhaps, the best in your class, department and even faculty, came out with the highest grade point ever in your department hasn't yet had a job that pays 6 figures. You keep hearing that a supposed loafer in your class earns a 6-figure salary.

What could be wrong? you may have asked without ever coming up with a satisfactory answer.

Well, if this describes your situation or a situation similar to yours, CONGRATULATIONS, you are about finding out some of those thing that those guys you admire and sometimes wish you were as lucky as know and do that you are yet to know and do.

1. Everybody who went through a university/an  equivalent institution has a degree or an equivalent just as you do regardless of degree class.

2. Those who quickly get jobs understand and go for professional trainings they may never tell about. This gives them an edge over you as they are consider authorities in that field as people who have had hands-on experience. The reason for this is that our school system only teach theories that are not the situation in the practical field of work...every employer knows this and so, goes for people who will add value with their professional knowledge.

3. People who want to quickly get jobs don't go scouting for any kind of job, they take advantage of career counseling opportunities at little cost. By doing this, they are able to understand the demands of different career paths, what kind of professional courses they would need to run, the kind of software they may need to learn, how to tailor their CV and Cover Letters, etc so as to quickly get their desired jobs. This helps them get focused and concentrated energy. I bet you, what every employer wants is a focused employee with the relevant knowledge and experience required to meet the jobs demands with little or no supervision at all.

4. They take advantage of FREE and/or PAID mentorship programs so as to quickly acclimatize with work environment ever before getting the jobs by simply listen to an authority in the field. They also know that a close substitute to a Mentor is video tutorials they can watch over and again as it is relevant to their career paths.

5. These guys also know that it is not enough to have a degree and professional certifications but also soft skill. Every employer watches, at an interview, a demonstration of certain soft skills to determine who qualifies for the job. Some of the major soft skills watched out for by employers are; Communication Strategies, Creative Problem Solving, Time Management Skills, Supervising Others (Leadership Skills), Interpersonal Skills, Sales Fundamentals, Administrative Support Skills, Team Work and Team Building, just to mention but a few. It is not enough to have them in your CV but you must know, understand and demonstrate them every time.

There are a lot of other factors and skills. If you wish to learn more about these issues, professional courses, skills (hard and soft), find a job quickly, be counseled or book a career counseling session, please, contact:
